How do two people like
To meet
I think about that
Was the timing just right
Was it that the night was so sweet
I think about that
Was it physical, chemical, what was the deal
Or did some kind of magic turn out to be real
Might be how you smile and eyes so bright
When we're walkin', honey, underneath the moonlight
Might be how it keeps on getting better
We haven't even talked about forever
I just know that we're so good together
When did we cross that line
And just happen to find we're in love
I think about that
Was it you, was it me
Who could see we'd turn out to be us
I think about that
We could spend all our time trying to figure it out

power of a dream
To have a dream in your heart that you must make come true, to think about constantly - even wake up at two
or three in the morning when everything’s still,
plotting and scheming new ways to fulfill
this desire that’s burning so deeply inside,
it’s no wish or whim - it will not be denied.
Imagine it happening - set a picture in your mind,
your dream holds the power of how you will find
a way that will lead you to all you hold dear,
for when the student is ready the teacher will appear.
Then strive on believing your dream will come true,
be consistent, persistent in all that you do.
You’ll come across hurdles - you’ll stumble and fall,
some days it will seem like your back’s against the wall.
Frustrated and weary and filled with self-doubt
but a voice from within you will rise up and shout,
“You know you can do this - just stick to your schemes,
don’t dwell on the obstacles - focus on your dreams.”
Be self-disciplined - do whatever it takes
for the wall around success is to keep out the fakes.
Whether you make them come true or you let your dreams fade, one thing is for certain - a price will be paid.
The choice is all yours - which one will it be? The thrill of your victory or the agony of defeat.

be what you wanna be
Do you want to know how people become Illustrators and Musicians and other professions that many people dream of becoming?
They do it.
What does this mean?
This means that the only difference between those aspiring to be something and those actually acting out those desires is a declaration made in their hearts and acted upon. In other words, if you want to achieve a certain goal, you must decide once and for all that you are going to do it and not take “No” for an answer. There are many Illustrators out there right now less talented than you getting the jobs that you would probably love to have, because they are doing it.
You must become obsessive about it.
You must research all you can and soak it up and eat it for breakfast.
You must make it a part of your identity.
You must make a change within yourself, from saying “I want to be _____ some day.” to “I am _____.”
This is not just a motivational message. This is a real truth that you can put into action right now. The only thing stopping you is your perception of yourself as less than what you want to be. If you take this small step today, you are already closer to reaching your dreams than you were a moment ago.
They do it.

Dear Granny,
You don’t like me to get things done for you. Since young, you’re a very independent woman. Well, you have always been a tough lady. ☺
When I’m back to visit you, every morning, you’ll nagged me to rise up very early to go market AND buy groceries AND mop up the floor, but the weird part is that you don’t like it if I wanted to take a bowl of rice for you OR wash your clothes OR cook for you (but if I really do cook, you will still stand beside and nag again…)
Although you never say aloud, but I believed that you want me to do those chores because from that, I can learn how to take care of myself when you are not around. And when you refuses me to help you, maybe you know you are leaving us soon, so you are trying make the “adieu” part easier.
My dearest granny, thank you for everything that you have sacrifice for me, and happy “grand”- mothers day!
Love,
yinyee

To myself and other designers out there ☺
“Believe in your idea and never be satisfied with the ordinary. Aim high but remember your most brilliant idea is yet to come. Look back with pride on all your achievements. Be humble and generous: great design usually comes from great partnership and rarely from individuals.”
“Don’t settle for the path of least resistance. Don’t be discourage by seemingly restrictive conditions but understand them as a challenge to stimulate new solutions that you would never have thought of without constraints.”
“Keep going. Persevere, believe in what you want to achieve.”
“Be a good observer of the city, people and clients.”
“Innovative design needs three things – well-honed creative skills, intensive knowledge for the area of focus, as well as broad general knowledge to continue fresh ways of seeing. These all take time to acquire - most studies suggest 10 years is the minimum period to become an expert in any domain. Designers should consciously work on creative techniques, do intensive research on any design challenge, and read widely on any topic whatsoever that catches their interest, with this toolkit, they will be ready to innovate.”
“Dare to take challenges! Don’t just think and dream. Take action! Execution is the way to go.”
“Create a harmonious relationship between people, objects, and the natural and manmade environments.”
“Follow the path called “divine discontent” and you won’t go far wrong. Never, ever sit back and be self-satisfied. Second, work hard. As my mother used to say, “Hard work never killed a man. Third, if you hit a low, never, ever, ever give up. Get back up the horse, keep riding and have fun. Lastly, always remember that being a designer is not a job. It’s a vocation that you have entered; it’s a calling.
Be humble and adaptable, much like the ability of water to course through the hardest stone.
Be passionate brave, humble an lastly ambitious

if you are lost...
take time off every day.
you should set aside time in your day
where you can be away from your routine.
cut your communication with the outside world for a while.
use the time to get a sense of clarity of your life and work.
reconnect with your life purpose and look at the big picture of your life.
are you on the right track, doing the right things?(you can do this by meditating, praying, walking in the garden, or any way you like.)
the important thing is that you to reflect on your life with a clear mind.
you don’t have to spend much time on it. half an hour is enough..
take a few days off every now and then.
during that time:
try not to do your routine that might introduce noise into your life.
spend time to reflect on your life and work.
you will see your life and work from a new perspective.
it reminds me of the story of two woodcutters. one of them sawed down the trees all the time without ever sharpening his saw. the other person spent time to sharpen his saw and only then did he saw down the trees. which one do you think would cut more trees at the end?
don’t let the busyness of your life lead you to the wrong direction. allocate time to reconnect with your purpose and calling. allocate time to see the big picture of your life. taking time off helps you stay sharp.

so everyone blogged about oolong..
[1] pinyin: wūlóng: is a traditional Chinese tea (Camellia sinensis) somewhere between green and black in oxidation. It ranges from 10% to 70% oxidation. It is among the most popular types of teas served in typical Chinese restaurants.
[2] ウーロン Ūron (Hokkaidō, July 28, 1994 — Hokkaidō, January 7, 2003), named after the oolong variety of tea, was a domestic rabbit owned by photographer Hironori Akutagawa. The rabbit was famous for its ability to balance a variety of objects on his head.

well, he's quite famous i guess.. cos many copied him..
